Do I Have A Chance To Study In The US?

I am a recent high school graduate from Germany. My ultimate goal to work in the US.I already lived there for 2 years and studied at a private school (GPA 3.7). Unfortunately I had to move back and finish my degree in Germany. Due to me missing 2 years of german school and my bad oral grades I was only able to get a 3.1 GPA.

Now my question is, do I have  a chance to get accepted into US target or semi-target school, if I got a good SAT score or am I better off applying for an undergrad at one of the european schools (Mannheim, RSM, FS, St. Gallen, Bocconi) and then later slowly transitioning into the US?

3.1 on a US or German scale? Either way it’s looking unlikely. I’d say unless you kill the SAT and schools are desperate for internationals (which they could be given the drop in international applications/enrollment), you’re probably better off focusing on German schools

1.9 is definitely better, you might have a shot. Kill the SAT and your essays, craft yourself a solid profile, and apply to target schools. Apply to several of them, most of them are probably going to be reaches, but all you need is one acceptance, and I think that should be doable

I think you should improve your knowledge a bit and then try it confidently

Four years ago, I came to the United States from Bosnia. I don't even need to think about studying in the countryside. But I did it smarter, put pressure on my strengths. When I went to school in Brooklyn, I used special service to write essays and other homework related to literature and language. This freed up time for math, which I'm really good at. And after a while, I put forward my candidacy for budgetary college places. I sent letters to all educational institutions. And as a result, I was accepted to study on a budget.

I'm from Albania and studied at HSG, there were tons of Germans with bad grades (who often got kicked out in the first year) sice you only need to pass the initial exam

I was considering going there or Bocconi, but I want to move back to the States( I dont have a greencard) and studying in the US would give me a chance to do so.

It’s possible. I’d give it a try. It’s not that likely, but I’ve seen some average international students get in to targets from my high school, w/ bad SATs as well.
