DOUBLE DEGREE WITH CASS OR JUST WARWICK?
hello everyone, some time ago, I applied for the double degree program, through the Catholic University of Milan, with the Cass Business School in London and was accepted. Some time later, on my own, and therefore not through Cattolica, I also applied for the MSc in Finance at Warwick Business School and was also accepted there. As warwick business school seems to be more prestigious than Cass, I am writing to ask you for advice. In your opinion, is it better to go ahead with the double degree (year in Cattolica + year at Cass with double msc in finance final) or do one year directly at warwick?
Obviously, going to warwick in September I would lose the exams done so far in the master's degree in Cattolica, as I would first have to give up my studies in Cattolica
From your experience, is it worth it? Is Warwick really of a higher level?
Warwick is what i recommend if your budget won't take a big hit.
Why,? Do you think MSc Finance at warwick > MSc finance Cass + MSc Banking and finance at Cattolica?
There is more alumni in the city and has a semi target/target status at msc depending on who you ask. However, it's all up to you to the wwk offer. Should ask for more info from others as I'm only familiar with target ranking status rather than the total advantage it provides over semis.
to take the wwk offer
I deleted my words by accident.
So, in general terms, do you think Warwick is more targeted than Cass by Big Banks?
Yes
Are you a studenti or work in the city?
Warwick is targetted more, that's the house view on this site that it is a target at the undergrad level (Cass is not - maybe a semi-target at best). At PG it's less of a target since LBS, LSE and Oxford run the show in terms of MFins. Warwick/imperial/Cambridge become semi-targets.
Warwick is much better.
Cass is 100% not a target at either undergrad or post grad level. (assuming masters in finance) Saying it is, is completely unhelpful and misleading. Being in London can be advantageous but you can't exactly network into interviews in the UK as you can in America, besides London has many universities with only 4 being universally recognised targets based off of placement and prestige...

I completely agree with you, but as I was saying before, it seems that Warwick is far more prestigious/targeted than Cass in the city
