Eastdil MBA Salary?
I've seen Eastdil takes MBAs at the Senior Analyst level. Obviously, when the other main finance option is to start at a BB/EB/MM IB at the associate level, it could mean leaving a lot of money on the table. Does anyone have any insight as to the pay? Would it be the same as starting out from scratch fresh out of undergrad + a year?
From my understanding, even some REPE and Development firms like Hines and TCC hire MBAs.
$100 base and idk how any cap markets firm is going to pay bonuses this year… but in good years 100-125% bonus or thereabouts?
Having interviewed at Eastdil I would say they generally do not look highly upon MBA graduates. They vastly prefer to take 22-23 yr olds and direct promote to associate from there. I faced a ton of age discrimination (illegal btw) in the interview process, got strung along for months and never received an offer. If you're a little older with an MBA you'd be better served doing REIB or shooting for one of the large developers like you mentioned with a strong training program (Hines, TCC, Related etc.). Just my $0.02.
I believe $100k base for senior analyst, probably more like $120k for associate but I didn't get that far.
I mean, in a normal market I would expect a Senior Analyst at Eastdil to be pulling in more total comp than a fresh MBA at Hines/TCC
Market at a mega developer is $130k base 35% bonus from my convos. Not sure how much bonus an Eastdil analyst gets but REIB associate post MBA seems to pay about 2.5 times with bonus
Yeah, exactly. Hines / Related etc. are gonna be $170 - $200k all in. Nothing to laugh at but you don't take these jobs for the money. I would expect an Eastdil analyst to be hitting at least a 100% bonus.
For reference, one of my close friends is at Eastdil as an associate, 3 yrs in, and he pulled a little over 325k all-in last year (in LA).
Your friend is lying to you
Hines post-MBA associate is only $200k? Color me surprised. Pretty sure 1st year analysts at my firm are making $175k+
