evaluate my profile for a master in finance...

Since I'm done with undergrad, and I haven't been lucky with recruitment, I'm aiming a MSc in Finance now. Here is my profile:

GPA 8.44/10 (economics and business)
GMAT 710 (Q50V36)
IELTS 8 (expired tho)
Passed CFA level 1
1 internship in trade finance

I'm keeping an eye on the costs, so I'll exclude LBS and HEC, knowing full well they're beasts at recruitment. My picks in this particular order:

1 - Bocconi

2 - Essec

3 - RSM

4 - St. Gallen

Do I have a chance at these? In case i do, is there a chance for a scholarship (I'm not EU citizen)??

I don't have a specific goal yet career wise, it depends. Please tell me what you think

Hi, Based on your profile plus your cost concern. This would be on this order:

1- Bocconi 2-RSM 3-Essec 4-Saint Gallen

All the universities offer scholarships but depends on the competition that apply.

But apart from ranking/GMAT/salary another major concern is do you speak any local language and are you attracted to a specific country? Aka: ESSEC is great if you want to stay in France, less good internationally.

So yes, if you give me more details perhaps I can tell you more :)

hi ! thanks for replying

i speak italian and french and english. i would say english comes as bilingual + i have better command of italian than french. i'm not european though. its just a passion. which city i prefer is not a decision point tbh, as I'm aiming for London re recruitment.

as i mentioned, unfortunately, the cost is my main and perhaps only decision point. i thought about retaking the GMAT (my practice scores were higher) but it just felt too tedious.

The cost doesn’t matter in the end because you will be able to recoup it very fast; you should go for the best programs such as Oxford MFE, LBS, LSE and HEC.

Ok, if London is your goal then aim for Oxford MFE, LBS, LSE and HEC. If cost is a matter then Bocconi and RSM are very good options!

Of the ones you've listed Bocconi has the best placement in London by far. Not quite at the same level as LSE / LBS / Oxford / HEC equivalents but pound for pound is definitely a decent option. I think your profile for Bocconi puts you in the realistic applicant camp. Not a shoe-in but for sure a good chance of getting admitted. I think a full-ride scholarship would be unlikely though.

Happy to be corrected by others more in the know.

You're interested in AM right?

I'm not European myself but would tell you to aim higher. LBS suits you well, I think. I applied (mim) with similar stats and got accepted. See if there are scholarships designed to your country and apply early.
