I was wondering whether anyone had insight on how Federal work experience is viewed when it comes to MBA admissions (specifically top-15 schools). Federal work meaning Dept. of Treasury, IRS, FDIC, FRB, NCUA, etc. Is it viewed as significantly less impactful/useful than working in private industry (banking/consulting), or is it considered an asset in terms of uniqueness?
