Firms that sponser FT MBA

First, I want to thank everybody on this site for their input. When I first joined WSO I was a frustrated man working in the retail arm of a BB. I have worked extremely hard at this BB as they promised me an IBD position in January. Well January came and went and so did their promise. So, I am finding new direction through this site and I know longer feel as trapped and/or lost.
I am currently looking at obtaining my MBA. My wife is an MD/PHD so I am kind of stuck in my home town of Houston. Also, I wanted to go PT so I could afford to live; however, it has become clear a FT MBA has a higher ROI. I had a talk with an MD at GS and he stated “A FT MBA shows your dedication to becoming a business professional”. So it seems to me I need to find a firm that not only supports my goals but also sponsors them. I have looked through WSO for a list of such firms and have found 5 total firms none of which are hiring (at the moment). Is there a more conclusive list of firms that sponsor FT MBA’s? My current firm will pay the huge amount of $ 2500 dollars a semester.
Also, the only university that can meet my needs is Rice. I am hoping there are some alumni that can share some experiences at Rice and the alumni network’s capability.

Once again I apologize for any errors. I have to write this under the radar and between appts.

If you have to stay in Houston anyway then you aren't going to do better than Rice.

Very True. Rice is a great school and I would be lucky to go there. I am just curious what the alumni took away from their exp? Houston is full of PT MBA's but yeah Rice is the only option I have....well that and divorce I kid I kid

I wish I could but she is in her first years so it is more MD/PHD= Debt than MD/PHD=$$$. That is why I wanted to get my MBA PT. The FT option was something I wrote off because I did not see a big difference other then time. Thanks to WSO for making see FT makes difference. Also, it would be fun since I worked 2 jobs during undergrad I never felt like I had a "college exp". Still, Rice is not cheap so I would need help from a sponser.

You're not going to immediately get sponsored by a firm for a full time MBA nor will a sponsoring firm let you go after or let you move into IBD after school. If you want it you gotta sack up and pay

Yeah I do see this as a long term plan. So, I have been looking for a firm that could offer me a career from entry level analyst to MD. Still, if I have to finance it myself then dag nabbit I will.

Commute to UT Austin. Stack classes up on two or three days a week. In-state tuition. Top 20.
