Full-Ride at UChicago or Brown

I am currently deciding between a four-year-full ride scholarship at UChicago as well as a 10k Presidential Award for research or internships over the summer and Brown where the price is very much doable and I am receiving free books. I am pre-law and want to major in something philosophy, politics, or law-related. I got in as a LLS major at UChicago and Political Science major at Brown. I am not afraid to work hard at UChicago, but I am afraid of the grade deflation, especially since I plan on applying to law school. Any help is much appreciated!

if you're applying to law school then why are you asking this on WSO, where 90% of this forum studied "Finance" or "Accounting" at IU kelley type schools and shits on people who are actually passionate about their studies

also keep in mind that at UChicago you have to apply to the LLS major in your second year, and the acceptance rate is around 25%—so it's not guaranteed.

Brown. I personally know several friends who went to UChicago. According to them, the default mindset (at least among undergrads) is that it sucks but you just gotta do it and you'll be in a better spot in life. Really, really depressing to hear. One of my buddies who visited me at my state school one year literally told me he was amazed how people were generally happy at my school
