Georgetown MSF accepts no one!

Georgetown's MSF program said they had no room left for this year’s incoming class. Every other program I inquired about (e.g., Hopkins, Penn State) has plenty of space. Anyone else having this issue?

Both of these programs are a lot less prestigious, and less sought-after than Georgetown. Explains why they are still available

MSFS is a totally different degree. Hope this helps with your confusion. But if you really meant MSF, then you need to do your research because the career outcomes for this degree (especially for Georgetown's MSF; MIT and Vandy are also superb) crush anything I've seen for other degrees except for an MBA from an M7 school.

And again to advise you as someone who knew a lot of these people, the “outcomes” published are just simply not true and were inflated during better markets where everyone got jobs

And yet I didnt need that msf nonsense i just transferred to vandy while i was still in ug. Because I didnt just mess around all of ug and hs like the msf wannabes, and spent college getting an offer instead

Funniest

You clearly have a lot of time on your hands. Congrats on Vandy though lmao

Ah, I see. The documented evidence Georgetown, MIT, and Vandy provide on their extraordinary career success is made up. It’s all made up. And since everyone got jobs anyway, it has nothing to do with the program. Never mind that countless UG schools and graduate programs provide NO career outcomes data. You don’t need any stinking data. That’s for the kind of losers who enroll in MSF programs. You in your brilliance have this all figured out! LOL

I got the same response from the admissions team. But they said they are opening admissions for fall 2026. I've heard the program is awesome. It's just a long wait.

Currently am an incoming MSF candidate at Georgetown for Fall 2025. Out of curiosity—how late in the cycle did you apply? From what I’ve seen, Georgetown accepts a fairly large number of candidates, and the class size appears to be growing each year. Applying earlier in the cycle tends to increase your chances of admission; even the admissions team encourages early applications as they look to secure spots early. The upcoming class reflects a broad range of backgrounds—some impressive, others less so—but the Class of 2024 outcomes report is quite strong overall nonetheless

Also, there's a story I found on the web that talks about their exponential growth in applications. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to attend a program with stagnant or declining enrollments. What's that say about the program's quality?

I applied pretty late as well. Was waitlisted initially and just got accepted for Fall 2025. There is always a chance but definitely doesn't help cutting it this close
