Georgetown SFS vs Vanderbilt vs CMC
Hi. I recently got off the waitlist at some schools. My top choices are:
Georgetown School of Foreign Service (SFS): Full-ride
Claremont McKenna College (CMC): 15k scholarship
Vanderbilt: No scholarship offered/Full pay
I also want to mention that I am an international student from Asia and would likely go back home right after graduation (especially given the coronavirus economic and visa uncertainty). Therefore, schools with more internationally recognized brand names would be a bit better I guess.
Thank you.
Thank you everyone for your help. Much appreciated!
Taking into account this post and your last one, I think Georgetown is the front-runner. I went there myself and students in the SFS will have no problem recruiting for IB/Consulting. A full-ride seems to good to pass on for CMC or Vandy and I personally feel the SFS is better recognized internationally.
Go to Georgetown and never look back.
So Georgetown would be $200k-$300k less than Vandy or CMC? I don’t think you can pass that up. Georgetown has great recruiting that is better or on-par with Vandy or CMC, especially for NY.
Georgetown all the way. A full ride there is amazing. Any idea on why they gave you that much money?
