Georgetown SFS vs Yale

Thoughts? Both schools seem to have similar vibes. How much of a difference do they make post-grad? s

Edit: I understand yale is generally more prestigious/well-known than Georgetown. I don't really care. I'm more interested in the tangible, real-world differences one can expect in the realms of post-grad opportunity, network, etc if any

I live in both the EU/UK and US. I don't even know who the King Of Spain is.
I can assure you that most people over there wouldn't even be able to find Washington on a map, let alone know what Georgetown is or that there is a US state named Washington. School of foreign service is maybe known in diplomat circles, but the average finance hiring manager wouldn't have heard of it. (Most average people only know NYC, L.A. and Miami or Florida. They know more about the US if the watch TV frequently, but intricate details like a SFS school or where they are located... I doubt that).

Some people will have heard of Georgetown, but in all honesty -  pick the school you really like best, and ignore what Europeans or people abroad think about the school.

As a Georgetown student, Yale is tough to turn down.  But many people from Georgetown have been super successful in BB, EB, and MBB recruiting.  If you like Georgetown significantly better, I would go Georgetown.  The Georgetown name still has great prestige and I'd put it on the same level as Northwestern, Cornell, and the top LAC's in terms of recruiting and name brand.  Everyone on this board is obsessed with the prestige and often overlook the 'fit' factor and the idea that college is supposed to be a great 4 year experience.

For the record, I turned down Cornell for Georgetown (I would have taken Georgetown over Duke and Dartmouth had I got into those schools) and I have no regrets.   I know I would have been less happy at Cornell, Duke, and Dartmouth than I am now at Georgetown.

Edit: Yale and Georgetown DO NOT have similar vibes.  Georgetown is in Georgetown (one of the nicer parts of DC) while Yale is in New Haven.  Georgetown students are more politically driven.  Georgetown is a jesuit school, and that does shape the school's values (although it's not as Catholic as Notre Dame).  Yale is significantly more liberal politically (although Georgetown is very liberal itself).  25% of Yale students identify as something other than straight, only 10% identify as conservative.  http://features.yaledailynews.com/blog/2018/09/06/class-of-2022-by-the-…
