GMAT score - Significant time overseas

I am about to take the GMAT in about a week and I wanted to know your view on gmat scores. Right now I am scoring in the high 600's on practice tests. What score range am I looking for if I want to get into a top-10 business school. I have a 3.98 GPA (undergrad) and will be doing an analyst program for a BB. I have spent significant time overseas, sometimes in leadership roles.

Thanks!

Averages for Harvard, Wharton, etc are in the mid-700s. Averages for Duke, UNC, etc are about 700.

Dunno what other schools you're looking at, but I hope that helps.

Those numbers are a bit high. Stanford has the highest average at 720. Harvard 707. Wharton 714. Duke is 696. UNC is 664. UVA 677. Which type of practice tests are you taking? Kaplan, Manhattan, or the actual GMAT prep tests? I took a Kaplan prep-test a few days before the real exam and scored a 550. Scored 710 on the real one.

Averages are around 700, with the middle 80% between 660 and 760.

With your GPA, high 600s is the minimum, and 700+ to be safe.

GMAT isn't as important as people think it is. If you're in the high 600's you are fine at any top 10 bschool. The key is the essays and discussing your work/life experience.
