Got offers from Bayes, Nottingham. Waiting on Warwick for Msc
If I don't get into Warwick (60% chance of not getting in), which offer should I accept? The course structure is better at Bayes but employability wise on LinkedIn, I see more Nottingham grads in IB roles. Any advice would be beneficial!
Nottingham undergrads tend to place well for IB, but that is not the case for postgrad. Bayes does better at IB placement at postgrad than undergrad, you'd do well from there.
And in the event, I get into Warwick. I should accept Warwick right?
Would rank it this way then:
1. Warwick (IF)
2. Bayes
3. UoN
I don't know how good Warwick is for Masters. It's certainly a target for undergrad, but I've seen more good things about Bayes/Cass Masters than I have of Warwick... Not that I've seen bad stuff about Warwick, just much less stuff overall compares to Bayes.
Any sources can you point me to? I am much assured that the course content and faculty are up to my liking but I haven't been able to find good placement reports for their courses other than the occasional careers fair
I'm afraid I don't have anything but anecdotal evidence:
Where I did my internship this summer (US BB bank within an investment banking products team i.e., DCM/ECM etc), the MD did his MBA from Bayes. Another VP on another team also went to Bayes, although think that was undergrad. Those are just the ones I know personally.
I see! Thank you so much. Might be booking Bayes at this point
Email their careers departments or admissions or something to see if you can ascertain graduate destinations from both Warwick and Bayes before making a decision.
