Graduating university in December/January - Will it affect internship/return offers?

First time poster here...

As I mentioned in the title, I will graduate early in the year (so after the fall semester, think December or January). Will this have any effect on my internship recruiting/return offer if it were to come?

Any insight is helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, graduating in December or January should not have a significant impact on your internship recruiting or return offers. Many students choose to delay their graduation to accommodate internships, especially if they are at large banks or other prestigious institutions.

However, it's important to communicate your graduation date clearly during the recruitment process. If you're in a program that allows you to postpone your graduation, you can mention this during interviews or on your CV. This way, recruiters will know that you're available for internships.

Remember, the key is to make the most out of your internship opportunities. Practice your skills, network effectively, and show your dedication. These factors could increase your chances of getting a return offer, regardless of when you graduate.

Keep in mind that every situation is unique, so consider your own circumstances and goals when making a decision. Good luck!
