Help a senior decide on a college! Northeastern vs Fordham vs Rutgers

Also waitlisted for NYU Stern/Boston College Carroll (I'm assuming no aid if I get into either). Sadly no Ivies despite a 1500+/4.3/good ECs and writing.

I want to try going for investment banking, but I'm more than open to other finance careers, as I don't think I'm at a point where I should be dead set on anything.

Finance is my major for all three. Here are my thoughts so far:

  • Fordham (Rose Hill): I heard has decent placement in NYC (where I would prefer to live) if you can stand out. Also, I already have friends in the city and it's a city I know I will enjoy being in (as opposed to Boston/New Brunswick which I have only been to 1-2 times).
  • Rutgers (NB): Has the RTWS program, but I heard they only take ~60-80 kids per year out of "a couple hundred" applicants. I have also heard that they have a growing presence in NYC finance.
  • Northeastern (1st year NYC -> BOS): Has the co-op program. They cite a 97% employment rate within 9 months of graduation, which is pretty high compared to other schools that seem to be in the 85-95% range. It's also the most prestigious school of the three, but I'm not sure how much that matters in finance.

Cheaper is good, but cost is towards the bottom of the list of things to consider. My parents are paying for it and are letting me decide, but I don't want to make them pay more for no reason.

I am in-state for Rutgers, so tuition + room/board is about 45k. For Fordham it's 63-68k depending on where I live, and Northeastern is about 90k.

I also got into Montclair for direct 4+1 MBA and Baruch (~30k and 40k respectively, including food/housing), but I thought they weren't worth considering compared to the other three schools. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rutgers placed incredibly well this cycle, would highly recommend

Most did but the top placements (CVP/LAZ/MOE) were outside the program this year

I’m want to submit my deposit by this weekend and I’m nearly sold on Rutgers but I can’t get over Fordhams proximity, historical placement rates (on peakframeworks/linkedin), and supposedly extremely loyal alumni. Northeastern is out the door. Any pointers? Or should I just pull the trigger on Rutgers?

I’m just about sold on Rutgers, especially because theres more clubs/stuff to do in my free time there. However, I can’t get over Fordhams placement rates (on peakframeworks), proximity, and supposedly very loyal alumni that students wouldn't stop talking about during campus tours and on forums. Any thoughts on this? Or should I just choose Rutgers?
