HKU Hong Kong - MFIN

Hi!

I am a french student in Finance (First year of master degree in a middle ranking Business school) and I just had an offer from Hong Kong University for the Mfin. I am really interested about job like PM or Trading.

The deadline is close and impossible to find any feedback, people coming from this Master ...

The point is, I would love jump from a mid french master degree in a better one and I am really considering HKU.
I have a keen interest for asian markets and working in asia for a couple of years don't bother me.

Is any of you have feedback of this master degree?

Thank you!

Why don't you wait for your second year of Masters to apply if you really want a second Masters? I mean, in French Business Schools if I understood well you have a gap year between M1 & M2 to do internships right?

So you'll see, if you manage to get good internships in PM or Trading during this year you may not need to do a Second Master.

Don't know much about HKU, isn't HKUST better?

Hi, Thank you for your answer.

The point is, I am already doing 6 month of internship in HK.

I need to finish a master degree, so 1 year in France or 1 year in Hong Kong, thats the same for me so I am trying to find which is the best. Thats why, if HKU is great I could stay in Hong Kong. But again, it is really hard to find people from the HKU master, even on linked in ...

Thank you.

Ok, for you this master will not help me more to work in asia than my french one?

Do you think it can be a good springboard for doing an american one after that? I saw a lot of ppl on linkedin doing hku bachelor and after harvard or yale.

I still do not undersrand why even on linkedin, impossible to find people who have done this master...
