Honest chances for a top masters degree in Europe.

Hello fellow Monkeys,

Hope this finds you well. I am currently looking to boost my application for a masters in finance but also would like to know wether you think I have realistic chances to get one of the following: Oxford MFE, LSE finance, Imperial Finance, LBS MFA, HEC Finance.

Background. UG: Accounting and Management non-target (UK, think top 25) + a full year at one of Asia's top 3 universities. GPA: 3.7 Relevant Experience: Boutique M&A and in Asset management in London. GMAT: 760

I am looking to understand wether it is realistic and would love to hear from your experiences or of people you might know.

Any thoughts on how I could also boost my application?

Best, Iceman2

Assuming this is not a humble brag post, you stand a very strong chance at all the schools listed. Some of my peers got accepted with lower stats. However, the essays play a very big role so do not get complacent cause people get rejected from top schools with 3.7 GPA and 760 (especially if you are over-represented i.e Indian or Chinese).

Thank you for your reply, no this is most definitely not a humble brag post. I am sorry if it comes across this way. Have a nice day!

Looks good, especially for finance where GPA & GMAT are a bit more important than, say, management masters.

Make sure you write a good story highlighting your finance experience and where you want to be heading during and after the masters.
