How do I break into IB as a Non target, No one from my school broke into IB

title, I’m currently a Math major at a complete non-target school, graduating early in 2027 (originally class of 2028), and I’m struggling to find a clear path into investment banking or trading, quant trading. I know these are very different career paths, but I’m super interested in both and would like to break into either. As of now, I’ve interned at a fund management firm where I was involved in underwriting and tasks related to private equity. I'm also in the Economics Society, Investment Club at my school, but no one is connected to IB as well from that. I’ve also been applying to Search Fund internships, I’ve received little to no responses. Even when I do hear back and follow up, there are no replies after that. I’ve tried reaching out to alumni on LinkedIn for coffee chats, but most of them aren’t in IBD — they’re all in backend roles like HR or software development. It’s been hard to find anyone with direct IB experience from my school. My GPA is strong, and I’m currently applying to transfer to more target schools. If those don’t work out, I’m considering a master’s in Financial Mathematics at a target institution — but I would rather not wait that long if there’s a more immediate route. As an international student who has lived in the U.S. since middle school, breaking into Wall Street is my #1 goal. If anyone has any advice or help , it would be awesome. I'll be the first in my family to break into IB if I achieve my goal.

Thanks in advance for any advice and comments.
