most classes are not technical. you are just reading some case studies and then say what you think about strategic decisions made. there are no wrong answers and you're evaluated based on participation. everybody is just talking for the sake of talking to get participation points, nobody really learns anything. and then you're hit with a $200k bill. the program is only worth it if you're trying to switch industries or move into US from abroad.

Controversial

This is a very immature take. I suspect you are still relatively early career

the MBA program, in particular the Harvard mba, is designed for future CEOs and general managers. These are people that need to have incredible drive, deep domain spikes, but also broad and cross functional knowledge and leadership

success at the top of the pyramid often is multidisciplinary: people relationships, marketing, personal branding, leadership, and technical competence all contribute to your success

there is no institution on the planet that opens up more doors to the upper echelons of society than Harvard. That is particularly true from the many students they admit each year who don’t come from that background

if you are looking for technical training you should be in a phd program

if you’re looking to class and opportunity jump then you go to Harvard

Congrats - I have a handful of friends who went to HBS and they all had positive experiences and amazing career paths post-graduation.
