Plenty of threads on this already. There are 3-4 finance clubs that will get you essentially guranteed offers. BAM BHF BVI and BITG. Very tough to get in these clubs unless you know someone or know your technicals down and your not a dork. Most guys in the clubs are in frats, SAE SNU, Sig Ep. Or in DSP. Once in a club, they will help you navigate anything from diversity recruiting to studying merger models. Next, get into the IB workshop in your sophomore year winter. The club presidents and other club kids make up the workshop board and will make decisions. Befriend these people and you’ll be fine. A bunch of tweakers get in anyway. Once in the workshop, there will be networking sessions for 2-3 months. Some of the best firms come including moelis la moelis nyc laz nyc laz sf laz la Ms sf, Ms la etc. you can network with these people after the sessions. Then just stay on top of your deadlines and networking which the workshop and clubs will help with and you’ll be fine. Only about 30-35 kids get in the workshop tho. You can see their placements if you look up ucla iB workshop ubs
