Ideal Major / Minor Combinations?

Hey WSO. I'm gonna be entering my Junior year at Bentley University (non target in Waltham, MA) in the fall and have to declare major / minor soon. I am pursuing a career in finance, ideally in IB, PE, VC, or AM, and given the level of competition I believe selecting the ideal major / minor is particularly important for someone like me.

I am already majoring in Economics - Finance (not a double but a combined major) and taking one minor in International Affairs. I plan on double-minoring but I am having trouble deciding between Computer Information Systems (seemingly the obvious but very common choice) and Psychology as my second. Going to a non target school I feel it is important for me to stand out from the pack, which is why I am considering going a more unusual route with a psych minor, especially where resources like Coursera and edX exist and provide great technical certifications.

Any input would be hugely helpful and greatly appreciated.

Doesn’t matter. your focus shouldn’t be tacking on another minor that an interviewer will glance at for a second and forget about it the second the interview finishes.

If you are at a non target, your focus should be networking and polishing up your interests if you want to stand out.
