Is Westminster, Loughborough or Cass good for IB placement

Here are the schools I am considering in the UK:

  • LSE
  • UCL
  • King's College London
  • Bath
  • Warwick
  • Westminster
  • Cass
  • Loughborough

My cousin is VP at Goldman Sachs and I have an A*A*BB predict at A-level. I got 55443 at GCSE. I want to go on to JPMorgan or Blackrock in Dubai

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's a detailed breakdown of the universities you mentioned for IB placement:

Top Tier (Strong Target)

  • LSE: Second for placement in the UK after Oxbridge. Almost guarantees you'll pass the CV screening in a few banks.
  • UCL: Great location for networking and top placement. Frequently targeted by top employers like Deloitte, GS, Citi, Accenture, JPM, and McKinsey.
  • Warwick: Known for having a large number of IB-focused courses and a strong presence in banks. Top undergraduate business school.

Semi-Target

  • King's College London (KCL): Best London university to offer a finance course with a great location and banking placement.
  • Bath: Great international program with surprisingly good BB placement.
  • Cass Business School: Known to be a top feeder for IB.

Lower Tier (Not Mentioned as Targets or Semi-Targets)

  • Westminster: Not mentioned in the context as a target or semi-target for IB placement.
  • Loughborough: Not traditionally known for IB placement, though it has a good reputation in other areas.

Additional Insights

  • LSE, UCL, and Warwick are your best bets for strong IB placement.
  • Cass is also a good option, especially known for its strong IB connections.
  • King's College London and Bath are semi-targets and can provide good opportunities but may not be as strong as the top-tier options.
  • Westminster and Loughborough are not highlighted for IB placement in the provided context.

Given your strong academic predictions and your cousin's position at Goldman Sachs, aiming for LSE, UCL, or Warwick would maximize your chances for top IB placements at firms like JPMorgan or Blackrock in Dubai.

no,no and no regarding cass lboro and westminster.

I think need to get the grades up if you really want to break in at IB as you’ll be competing with people from 3A’s to 4A*’s. Especially as your GCSE’s aren’t amazing.

Not trying to sound harsh but I’m trying to be pragmatic .

Idk much about this but I was told by a recruiter at a MM IB that they’re looking into UK lower tier schools now more than previously because it’s become too hard to hire internationals from European schools. I also personally know someone in CB at a BB from Westminster uni.

> considering most kids from target unis in the uk struggle to get IB jobs, visa or not

Bruh what? This is absolutely incorrect. Target unis in the UK (oxbridge, LSE, Imperial etc) place very well in IB. You can literally see that from a simple LinkedIn search
