JD + MFin or MQF/MMF

Hi All,

I am 25 years old, I live in Toronto, I have a JD (graduated one year ago), have a B. Sc. (Hons.) in physics, and somewhat of a programming background. I am currently looking to add a bit more to my resume. I have a keen interest in finance and was looking to the CFA. However, after looking into it more, I was debating doing an MFin or MQF/MMF, instead of the CFA.

I was wondering what would be better to complete? I do not know if an MFin would make me more competitive to eventually get into a managerial role of a company, or a directorship, which is want I want to do. However, with my background in physics, interest in programming, and interest in quants, I am unsure if an MQF/MMF would be better than the MFin.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am really unclear as to whether an MQF is the better route to take, or if it's just meant to land someone an analyst position and not make them as competitive for a role in management or as a director.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
