LSE MSc in Accounting, Organisations, and Institutions or ESSEC MSc in Finance

Hi there,

I received an offer for LSE MSc AOI and ESSEC MSc Finance; however, I am in a dilemma regarding which program would be more suitable in securing summer internships or FT position in an IBD in London or Singapore.

Although, the LSE MSc AOI does shares some electives with its Accounting & Finance counterparts, I heard that the LSE MSc AOI is often regarded as one of the least regarded LSE business-related MScs. Although, I feel that the Accounting courses offered by the mentioned LSE course can be very useful, I'm worried that the perceived value of more Finance-related courses and of other LSE MScs such as the MSc Finance and A&F is higher among recruiters for IBD position.

On the other hand, ESSEC MSc Finance courses offer much more interesting and relevant courses, on top of an optional internship during the course.

So the question is does LSE brand reputation alone will compensate the shortcomings of a less-reputed degree such as the MSc AOI? Or would ESSEC's fair reputation as a business school plus the more-relevant MSc Finance courses be a better choice?

Some brief background on my work experience and education: I have 3 months internship at a very small PE, and 1.5 years FT position in the M&A division in one of the big 4. I already hold an MSc in Management from Rotterdam School of Management, so this would be my second Masters.

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated!
