Marketability- Rotational Analyst at major Special Servicer/CMBS investment firm

Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

I have not seen too many articles on here referring to commercial real estate or CMBS firms (yes CMBS issuances are coming back). I recently graduated from a non-target, top 50 state school with a 3.6 GPA. I am currently in my 1st year in a 2 1/2 year rotational program at a well respected investment firm in the commercial real estate industry.

The program consists of: 1 year in Investment Management (Acquisitions and Surveillance), 9 months in Loan Asset Management and 9 months in Real Estate Asset Management.

From a resume standpoint, I started a small business while in undergrad that had revenues of $30K/year. Does this help or is it insignificant in b-school apps?

Assuming I land in the 680-720 range on the GMAT, how marketable am I to MBA programs after my 2 1/2 year rotational program? I know Colombia has a very well respected MBA program for commercial real estate professionals. Do I have any chance or do I need more experience or ways to market myself? Does anyone know some mba programs that could help me make a jump to the buy-side in CRE?

Please give me some realistic expectations for what type/tier of mba program I can land.

Thanks, really appreciate it.
