Marriott School of Business at BYU

How is it perceived in investment banking? semi target, non-target?

Is it well respected, or a joke on the street?

I just thought it's a good school, for it's consistently ranked #8, and it's really low price. Would you guys recommend Kelly over it? I'm pretty smart, but not a genius like the rest of IBs, but with an incredible personality. I just want to get into a really good MIDDLE MARKET and work myself up...

I really appreciate it,

Greedy

I can't say from firsthand experience whether or not these types of firms recruit their, but I do know that BYU's undergrad b-school is very well respected by recruiters in general (it's top 10). I know that a lot of BYU undergrad b-schoolers with high marks are recruited by Mckinsey, Bain, etc., and I have personally met one guy who before going to Wharton for his MBA had gone from BYU to an IB.

My guess would be that it's very possible. The BYU name is a respectable one to have on a resume and if you get good grades I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be as sought after than you would had you gone to Kelly. You'll save money by going there though, that's for sure.
