Master Thesis Suggestions

Hey everyone,

I am about to start my master thesis preparation and I am looking for a hot research topic in the finance field and my professors have not been very helpful in finding it.

Can you help me with some suggestions about the latest finance topics that can be researched nowadays?

Thank you in advance!

I would love to see someone extend/update the work of Berk & Green on how fund flows impact fund performance. Like, do you see the same phenomena with hedge funds? Or is there something about the flexibility of their mandate that allows them to maintain outperformance even as assets get large? Maybe on an absolute basis this is less of an issue for HFs since they tend to be much smaller than their mutual fund counterparts on AUM basis? Also, has the prevalence of passive mgmt changed this dynamic at all?
