MBA from real estate development
I’ve realized T10 MBA programs almost never mention students coming from (or going into) real estate. The class profiles are mostly packed with consultants, investment bankers, PE folks, and maybe some tech.
Is it even possible to get in if you’re not coming from MBB, FAANG, or a BB bank? These schools talk a lot about having a diverse class, but in reality, it feels like the opposite—just a bunch of MBB/IB/PE people. Some students pretend they’re taking risks by quitting MBB to work at a startup, but let’s be real, that’s just a strategic move to boost their chance of getting into the Stanford MBA. It’s all about crafting the perfect story.
My point is, what are my chances of getting in a top MBA coming from real estate develoment? (the partners at my firm are Harvard MBA's and ironically ex-MBB partners)
