MBA (real estate) vs MSRE?

I'm almost 7 years into my career (finance) and making around the $300k mark. I've always wanted to do real estate (not completely sure if development/acquisitions, REPE, etc.) but have kept deciding against grad school to make the pivot. It's hard to rationalize ceasing to make the money I am now to spend $200k+ for an MBA to make less money upon graduation - even if I would be much more engaged/interested in the new career.

I've been revisiting it recently and have also been considering MSRE programs. It seems like a lot of them are just 1 year and a fraction of the cost at $50-80k.

Does anyone have any advice? I've been trying to find out how much roles from each program would make (understanding your prior experience is important). For example, if you were to get an MBA, would you be put in at the same Associate 1 level regardless if you had 3 YOE versus 7?
