McGill or Binghamton

Hello. I need some advice between these two. I am a high school senior live in New York plan to work in New York in the future; however, I am open to working anywhere. I have some family in finance already and have been consistently networking. I'm still waiting on other schools and have offers from Case Western (26k merit scholarship - can ask for more if its a good option) , IU Kelley, etc., but I have a limit on price (40k) as well. Interested in IB or Consulting or Analyst in CF (JPM, UBS, etc.). Front Office role. Waiting on KCL, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Cornell, Columbia. I am a US CITIZEN

Fear: Not being able to land a great first job or internships from McGill

Option 1: McGill BA (NOT BCOMM) in Econ/CompSci or a minor from Desautels depending on GPA (35k)

* Can't Speak French as of now

* More international well rounded education IMO

* Will I be able to network still. How will my GPA affect my chances at a MBA as McGill deflates grades.

* No guarantee for internships. Very hands-off. Not in the business school.

Option 2: Binghamton University (28k)

* School of Management (200 students) competitive to gain acceptance (93% employment rate)
* Accepted into SOM - EY Honors Program (25 students) Sponsered by Ernst and Young (Basically guaranteed internships and jobs at EY)

* Lots of networking events

* Easier to get 4.0

* Lot more focused on Big 4 but lots of people seem to be breaking into front office roles at banks

Major: Business Analytics or Quant Finance

How will Binghamton affect me if I want to continue studies for MBA later or MA? Planning to work a few years first

I honestly don’t think Binghamton is that good. Non target according to the list here and I got accepted into the school of management pretty easily as a transfer student. The school is at the bottom of my list of schools to transfer to.

I would highly consider going to McGill, it is much more prestigious than Binghampton.

I had some friends who went to McGill and had a really good time. I had one friend go to McGill and he hated it. It is far from home and it might not be the best fit culturally.

Binghampton is objectively very fun and I think you would really like it.

TL:DR

If you’re outgoing and don’t mind cold winters, I would absolutely go to McGill. If you want a better probability of a good college experience go to Binghampton.

Okay, thank you! I'm definitely more inclined to McGill because of their prestige; however, I'm not sure how the job market is at the moment and whether job security which Binghamton offers through their SOM Honors Program is better? I am very outgoing and think I would like McGill more but I also feel that ill be fine anywhere which is why I'm trying to choose the best option job / internship-wise as well as for the future.
