MS Finance @ 31 yr old...need some advice !

Folks,
So I'm in a catch-22 situation.
I'm 31 yr old with 7+ yrs finance/consulting exp in middle office at a small finance firm...preferably I would had liked to do MBA from a top tier university but due to incompletion of an undergraduate degree (dropped out at begining of senior year) i'm unable to meet some entry requirements. I was an engineering student and have no desire to work in that field so completing that undergrad degree would be a long 1 yr effort rather professional fruitless.

For MBA I have offers from top 20-25+ universities like Warwick (UK), George Washington, George Town and a bunh more.

My second option is to do a 1 year UK masters (9-12 months program) and then apply to TOP MBA schools which I really want... I have some offers for MS in Finance from universities in UK + US.. however I will be class with 23-24 yr old and dont know how beneficial it would be.

I'm wondering if I have the right thinking going on or I need to look at it through another perspective or are there any masters in finance program that cater to people with experience. I'm open to schools anywhere in Asia, EU, UK.

Regards,

Thanks folks,

Excuse the typos in my intial post... it can be annoying.

I'm steering away from 2 year MBA's as of now...The rational behind it: I could get a 1 yr Masters and then apply/do a 1 yr MBA at a top tier MBA program. Without a bachelors my ability to crack into better programs are hampered however following schools have offered admits based on work exp & other credentials.

I'm a little biased towards London and looking to work in banking/asset mgmt etc upon graduation.

--------MS Finance Admits: Case Western George Washington Univ Queen Mary, University of London Brunel University (UK) Royal Holloway University (UK) Univ of Edinburgh

----------MBA Admits: Warwick U Imperial University ..UK(possible/still in progress..) Washington Univ Georgetown Geroge Washington babson

From my knowledge, none of those MS Finance programs stick out to help you really. Again MBA at both WUSTL and Georgetown are solid programs. Best case scenario with an Ms Finance from one of those schools and then two years of work exp. you can go to UNC or Texas. But you would be like 34 then and you are gonna be closing towards an EMBA rather than an MBA.

Just my $0.02.

Why would OP want UNC or TX for London?

Never said he wants either of them. I said with an MSF from one of those places probably the best thing he can do is UNC or Texas MBA or its equivalent in the Europe. The sentiment I am trying to express is that those MS are not that good and they are not really going to help him to get that top MBA that he is hoping for. The best case would be a step up WUSTL or GTown MBA which would be UNC or Texas.

Those MS offers are horrible. The only places worth doing MS Finance in UK is LSE/LBS/Oxbridge. I would advise you go with one of the MBA offers.
