MS Finance options

Hello,

I am a financial markets undergraduate from India. I am currently working as a senior associate in a Boutique Investment Firm. I scored a SGPI of 9.85/10. Also I have cleared my CFA Level I (90 %ile +). I am looking for STEM MS Finance options in US/UK that aren't very costly for international students and have decent placement prospects. Please help me out.

Noted. Even if we ignore the cost component, is it worth for an International student to pursue an MSF from the US considering the work-visa regulations surrounding H1B? I mean are employers reluctant to hire international students?

Define "not very costly."

The UK has just changed the visa regulations so you can now stay for two years after your MSc. Realistically you want to limit yourself to LBS/Oxford Said/Cambridge Judge/LSE/Imperial. UCL and Warwick have a lot less placing power at the masters level. UK will probably be cheaper and masters are a bit more common here as a route to break into finance. Conversely, US salaries are better and realistically the quality of teaching at MIT or Princeton will be far better than any of the options above - LBS excepted. Vanderbilt also comes up often and would likely be a solid choice.

The big question is what side of the pond do you want to be on? UK school > NYC/Chicago FT is basically impossible (it happens, but generally for more quant stuff with PhDs in physics/maths from Cambridge/Imperial), and it's nearly as difficult going the other way.
