MSc Finance: Warwick Business School or UCL School of Management?

Hi all,

I am lucky enough to have offers from both UCL SoM and Warwick (WBS) to study MSc Finance, but I am now really struggling with deciding between them. My understanding is that UCL SoM is much newer and is as such more unknown (not ranked by the FT, etc), whereas WBS has a long history behind it and is better-regarded. Is that correct?

Does anyone have any insight as to which will be better regarded by an employer in wealth management? Is there a substantial difference between them, or only a minor one? This is a big decision for me and I really need to be able to maximise the ROI.

Studying in one of the MSc you mentioned.

Reputation wise, both of the universities are strong, but as you mentioned WWK is more established.

Both of the universities will et your interviews, but when it comes to offers, it depends on yourself. A good amount of people in my course got offer but it depends a lot on your previous profile, how well you are aware of the procedure when it comes to applications etc.

The only downfall with MSc in the UK (except LBS) is that there are so many eastern Asian / Indian which are not very social if you are European

That's really useful, thank you. Just to be totally clear, given that WBS is more established, would you say the degree here is likely to be better regarded by employers?

Yes - everyone who applied early and prepared for application well got offers in my cohort
