MSF 2025 Undergrad

Hey everyone, Just for some background: Current third-year Economics student at a northeastern, non-target, private school, but has alumni all over the street in different industries. Only a 3.4 GPA but decent extracurriculars; Chief Research Officer for investment club ($150k AUM), RA, finance research assistant and this winter break I’m interning at a PWM firm ($1.5b AUM) all while being full time student. Currently have an FLDP offer at a Fortune 100 telecoms company as well as waiting for an offer from BB CIB risk SA program which I got an internal referral for and had my final rounds right before Christmas. Obviously doesn’t mean shit though without an offer, however it’s kind of relevant to my question. My main goal is to break into FO roles on sell-side out of college then the typical “finance bro” transition to a HF where I have a connect but he wants me to get some high finance experience first. Should I bother with the MSF if I get this Risk SA internship? I feel like I can make some good connects in this role and lateral into sell side in the future without the MSF/MBA but I really don’t know. Additionally, this FLDP internship offer I got is for CorpFin, I feel like an MSF or MBA might be necessary to lateral to sell side but once again, I’m clueless. So an answer to this would be nice as well. I know this post is a shit show but I got a pretty late start on all this high finance stuff so I’m kind of scrambling, I feel like I recovered a little bit but any help would be appreciated.
