New Deferred MBA Programs

It seems like many of the Top MBA programs are creating deferred MBA programs with some even offering application in final years of undergrad and WSO does not seem to have a ton of information.

I'd love to create a thread that provides some information about these programs as well as any thoughts/anecdotes regarding the programs.

For example, Wharton is now offering a program called "Wharton MBA Advance Access Program" where admitted students work for two to four years and have a guaranteed path to a Wharton MBA. This year's application deadline is April 1, 2020 and decisions come out May 8, 2020.

MIT launched a new program in January 2019. They are looking for students to acquire two to five years of experience before attending the MIT program. The applications are due April 6, 2020 and decisions come out May 20, 2020.

There are programs that have been operating for a while like HBS 2+2 Program, Stanford GSB Deferred Enrollment, Chicago Booth Scholars Program, Yale's Silver Scholars Program, and Darden Future Year Scholars Program.

Are there any other new top MBA programs I am missing? Will this trend trickle down for all MBA programs?

These programs are so selective because of the small amount of seats schools reserve for them, worth trying for if you have your shit together in undergrad (going to MBB, 3.9 GPA and 750 GMAT), but otherwise the traditional application process is much more friendly to "average" applicants. Many rejects from these programs will get in when they apply FT regular cycle.

Deferred entry programs have exploded over the past few years. They aren't only looking for MBB folks. Three years ago only HBS and Stanford had programs. CBS, Darden, Booth and MIT were options last year. This year Wharton expanded their program beyond UPenn undergrads.
