Northeastern or Middlebury?

I received a scholarship and decent financial aid from both schools, so setting price aside, which school would be better for a future in the finance field?

Which school?

Both are good schools and you can break into finance at either if you work hard enough. I went to Middlebury and can speak first hand to the alumni network being extremely tight knit and willing to go to bat for you. I know Northeastern also has their semester long co-op program but unsure how much that really helps. Per capita Middlebury sends more to banking, and everyone who truly puts in the effort places well. It all really comes down to whether you want to go to a small school in the middle of cow country Vermont or a larger school in a city. You will have numerous opportunities at both schools.

Thank you so much for your response! I’ve been really worried about making the right choice, so hearing about your experience at Middlebury helped a lot.

Middlebury sends far more per capita (and possibly even in absolute numbers) and will be a far easier experience and a much better brand for you. Plenty of Midd alums going to MFs and top buyside firms, but hard to find NEU alums anywhere when it comes to the most selective seats. Fairly easy choice imo
