NYU dual degree??

I am thinking about doing NYU's dual degree MBA / MS in Mathematics in Finance. Has anyone out there done this program or heard anything about it? I currently work for a hedge fund administrator as an accountant (for past 2+ yrs) and am trying to switch over into Investment Banking. Do you think this dual MBA/MS is a good move for me? Does anyone also think this program will prepare me for the CFA exam? Any insight would be much appreciated.

You're kinda all over the place with this stuff man. If you get into Stern I would think you'd be better off just doing the MBA and spending whatever time you would otherwise have to spend on the MS, on networking. The CFA is a fairly big undertaking but not so much that you would be able to justify a second masters to help 'prepare' for it.

yeah... the CFA is a big undertaking (sort of), and it has absolutely nothing to do with a masters in mathematics.

If you want to go into ibanking just get an MBA from the best school you can get in to... if you get into stern and you used to be an accountant you'll have a very good shot of getting a job at a boutique or mm when you get out... do your concentration in finance, of course
