Put 'Gypsy' as Race on B-School Apps to Qualify for URM?
I'm just a Caucasian mutt, but just looking for any angle that might help out. Thoughts?

I am going to be honest with you, this is a risky one. First of all, I am from eastern Europe so I know what a gypsy looks like. If you think that gypsies are those irish guys who claim themselves as gypsies/travellers -- they're not. Not to mention that gypsies emigrated from India so unless you look indian/pakistani with some european/slavic facial features then you have no chance. Also, why would you lie on your application?
"Gypsy" is a racial slur. It'd be similar(yet nowhere near equivalent) to me being a black man and naming myself the n-word on an application.
