Quinnipiac University for S&T

Quinnipiac is a small university located in CT about 90 mins north of NYC. I got given a large scholarship to go there so I am seriously considering going there for undergrad. I am interested in a career in S&T but I know that Quinnipiac is a reasonably unheard of school. Does anyone know if it does very well in placing graduates into front office positions down on Wall Street? Any responses would be appreciated.

Im considering Fairfield, Fordham, Bryant, Saint Joesph's. My high school years didn't go so well due to some medical reasons so I don't have a great choice of where to go. If anything Fordham is the best I could possibly do. If I did some heavy networking, could getting internships and job offers from Quinnipiac be possible?

Everything is possible! You can also get a stellar GPA there, crash the GMAT and go for a 1-2 yrs MSc in a target European school with full merit based scholarship and then work in London (for instance). But it will be much harder...

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.

I'd probably say Fordham then Fairfield out of those schools. As I mentioned above and what others have said, do well academically (3.8+ at least), have strong ECs, get involved in as much as you can, and network a lot, and anything is ultimately possible. Reach out to everyone and anyone.

I tried for quite a few state universities but there were unable to accept me. Im a smart guy, but like I said before I had some medical issues in high school so my grades aren't very good, Im lucky enough to get into the colleges I mentioned in my previous post.

Fordham! I have a friend that went to Quinn for their UG degree in econ and went to do their MBA at JHU without any experience... although I don't think the corporate field looks at that very nicely but it seems pretty on paper haha

Specifically for S&T are you interested in trading for an institution or doing a prop firm? If you're going down the prop firm route I have a few friends who are in S&B capital that could give you advice.

Had a friend go there - she now works as a bartender and has a ton of debt. Bad choice IMO.

Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis - when I was dead broke man I couldn't picture this

shorttheworldgo to uconn not quinnipiac. youll save tons of money and have better branding

This. uconn has the advantage all around...

"That dude is so haole, he don't even have any breath left."

you'll have a good time at quinnipiac, but everyone i know who went there had a tough time finding any work at all. of the kids i know, 2 are assistants at a hospital and the other is trying to get into grad school. would agree with the statement above re: uconn.
