RSM (Finance and Investments) vs St. Gallen (Banking and Finance)

I'm trying to decide between the Master in Finance and Investments at Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands) and the Master in Banking and Finance at St. Gallen (Switzerland).

Which university has a better reputation in London?

Both unis are "targets", but RSM probably sends more people to London because is more international. St. Gallen is the leader in German speaking Europe.

That pretty much hits the nail on the head. Maybe take exchange partners into consideration if you are keen on going abroad in your 2nd year.

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA

St. Gallen is probably your best bet if you want to work in Germany or Switzerland. Many graduates from St. Gallen decide to go to Frankfurt, Zurich or Geneva to work. St. Gallen is also a bit better in terms of price/value I think.

However, there are hardly RSM graduates working in these financial centres. Most RSM aim for London (probably because of language reasons).

You should consider Bocconi as well, they have a great programme!

Does RSM have a co-op/internship during your time at the school. ie. do you do 4months of school, 4 work 4 school?

- Only time will tell....

I think the new RSM Master is an Master of Science, while the St. Gallen one just an Master of Arts - in case someone cares. True, for us (RSM students) it's 'easier' to get into London than Frankfurt.

Since, only about 10-15% of the students at RSM are Germnas and in St. Gallen prob. everybody speaks German, you'll find more St. Gallen than RSM grads in Germany.
