Should I go to LBS?

I am based in London and have an offer to go to LBS Master in Financial Analysis. I had a very average profile and didn't expect to get in at all so thank you lucky stars. The main issue I have with this programme is the cost, it's costing £47.5k and so far I don't have any scholarships. I am an international too so the only financing option is a private lender who charges like 12% interest. I have also outstanding debt already from my undergrad so this will add to the stack. Now I have good experience in portfolio valuation & financial modelling from a good bank in London for about 1 year and am doing CFA L3, but I want to push myself to go to IB/PE and I feel like LBS is really good for that. The cost is just too overwhelming.

Given everything, should I go for it?

i did the programme 2 years ago and my other options were bocconi and HEC. i jumped to the buyside directly after. had the offer 3 months into the programme. i would worry about the cost too but if you grind hard enough you can secure something above market. one thing i learned after graduation is that the job board for lbs will have things mostly in the buyside that you cant find in so many target b schools. one of my mates went to p72 academy programme after one year in IB so think about aiming for a pod since you could have CFA ready by the end which is a good extra. being at lbs will save you the time of sending 500 applications, i had at least 1st rounds in all my top 20 target firms and 2nd rounds in prbbly most i cant remember exactly. point is, you will have plenty of helping hand to pass the hard parts and the rest will be up to your effort

if it helps, i saved a lot of money by living in a room in reading and keeping my head low when it comes to going out

non target undergrad, 1 internship at a german M&A boutique and one in DCM at a better bank in Amsterdam
