Sport Management Undergrad Looking at MSF Programs Questions

I recently graduated with a Sport Management Degree from UMass Amherst and have been looking to apply to MSF programs fall 2015.

UMass has a top 40 undergrad business school and the Sport Management program is considered by many as a top 3 program in the world. The program is in the business school so I took your standard intro classes in finance, accounting, and management classes in addition to a sport finance class in which I excelled at. Graduated magna cum laude with a 3.8

My internships weren't in finance/accounting but were with large, prestigious, worldwide sports companies.

Upon graduation in December until a month ago I worked as a basic accountant/finance job with a travel company.

Was just trying to get a feel if this type of background (disregarding gmat scores) would be sufficient in applying/getting into tier 2/3 schools.

Looking at Full Time programs
Thanks in advance

I was under the impression that since I graduated in Sport Management and not economics, math, finance, or acounting I would be at a disadvantage when applying to top schools. Any truth to that?
