swapping uni

so currently im a first year at bayes/cass business skl doing finance (undergrad) but after reapplying i got into UCL for history, politics and economics.

do u think its a no brainer to swap? just because of UCL being a target for finance/consulting.

It's not "defo" worth it because you might not land anything from UCL either. It's a game of luck.

Definitely take, but breaking into IB still isn't guaranteed. It's a fresh start to sweat out spring apps.

What were your A-Level / GCSE scores? Got rejected from HPE so wondering how to better improve.

so I got AAA achieved in His Pol Econ. GCSES were all 8’s and 9’s (like 5 nines 6 eights).

think i got quite lucky getting in - definitely emphasis on personal statement + i already got in to UCL last year (albeit for history) so that may have helped aswell.

if i were u (assuming u haven’t taken A levels?) just do the best u can this year and reapply. gap year doesnt hurt u at all , i wish i did one lmao would’ve saved me money

They can't refuse you if you're taking the exact subjects they're offering in the degree and offering really solid grades too tbf, don't think it's luck. Might pick up another subject or forced into retaking some GCSEs as mine aren't on your level. Appreciate the help!
