Target schools for GS SF TMT
Anyone know which schools Goldman's SF TMT group usually targets for recruiting? Would assume it's more west coast focused than NY firms

Correct - it is typically more West coast focused. Targets are the usual suspects - Stanford, UCLA, Berkeley, USC, Ivies. Other top tier east coast schools can for sure make the jump over as well, but most east coast students prefer to stay there

I would think west coast targets that actually have a pipeline for pre biz kids is UC Berkeley, USC Marshall and UCLA.
Stanford is an all around target just because well...it’s Stanford. They have OCR, but not sure how many people they actually send to GS each year.
It's a lot. I believe most of them go to NY though, which makes sense since a good chunk of the student body is from the Northeast.
