Transfer Advice for Undergrad

Hey guys, I'm a freshman at a semi-target (at best, rank ~#50) with a halfway decent MSF program. Right now I'm basically done with all the leg work on transferring barring the essays, and I wanted some advice as to what I should do. I want to go into ibanking, and placement at my school is mediocre. I could work my ass off and pull something off, but it's chancy. I'd like to give this a shot.

Anyway I've looked at Cornell AEM or A&S Econ, and Northwestern econ, and even NYU Stern (I know I have like zero chance to get in there though). I know which schools are great (Wharton, etc), but I know that my chances are so so slim.

I'm trying to balance getting into a better school along with actual chances of getting in. Stats are decent (2220 SAT, 3.94/4.00 and IB in HS, and a 4.0 Finance GPA) along with good involvement. If you want more detail feel free to ask, and I'll elaborate.

In the interest of not being like a dumb college confidential "chance me" post, try to limit the advice to career prospects - but I appreciate anything you have to say. I'm limiting the schools I'm applying to 4, any suggestions or general advice/sanity tests would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Also, I know this sounds crazy, but I was considering NYU CAS Econ. I know the placement is sub-par, and only marginally better than my current school, but I really believe that people undervalue the opportunity of being in NYC. I'm only saying this because NYU Stern is 2.5% - and I know I'm not that great.
