UC transfer student need advice : )

Greetings!

I am an incoming second year student planning to apply to a UC transfer, in economics. For everyone who is not familiar with this program, in California, you can take all the GC classes in undergrad, save money and can apply to a UC. If you have a good GPA in those transfer classes you can get into a top UC like UCB and UCLA, which are the two best public schools in the world.

I am kind of in an educational crisis right now. I have been trading equites and derivatives for ever since I was 17 years, now I am 19, and I know I want to go to the buy side, specifically PE or Sales and Trading. My current GPA is a 3.9, I also go to the top Community College in California, so based on this and my extra curriculars I will mostly get into Cal. However, I have to choose a back up between UCI and UCSB (no targets/ slightly semi targets) for my hedge, which do you guys think will help me get a better chance at working at the sales and trading if I don't get into Cal ?

Appreciate everyone's advice.

Funniest

I also go to the top Community College in California

Holy shit, is this unironically a thing?

lol as stupid as it sounds it actually is. The top ones have a very high transfer rates compared to the mediocre ones. Chances getting into Cal or UCLA is like marginally higher compared to a shit CC.

Sorry for sounding too harsh, not sure about which one is better between SB or Irvine but I wish you the best of luck for Cal
