UCLA, CAL or UW

Hello, I was recently admitted by UC Berkeley (undeclared(econ)), UCLA(pre-econ), and UW Foster (business).I am more interested in economics elective courses at ucla, and requirements to declare econ major at ucla are easier than ucberkeley. So I think i will choose ucla over ucberkeley. I got direct admitted at uw foster, and I can choose up to two business majors (i am thinking about doing finance and accounting). I want to be a management consultant after I graduate (this will probably change in the future). Does anyone have any advices? Thank you in advance!

Bump, really wondering how UW compares to the two cal schools? It seems like the finance club places pretty well looking at LinkedIn, and they have an ib starter program and do recruiting trips. To bad more firms aren’t based in Seattle.

People on this forum who have went to UCLA and been through the process have claimed that the recruiting process is an absolute bloodbath. Cal fares much better. Although UCLA may be slightly easier, you should not base your decision on that. Are you OOS for all of these? If Cal/ UCLA costs the same as UW, I wouldn’t see a reason to choose UW, even if it is business. Econ at Cal is almost as respected for finance as a Haas degree.

I have no clue how true this post is but it seems to provide a lot of insight about recruitment from UCLA. Doesn't look good.

If I were you, I'd choose the school you think you'd learn the most at/have the best experience. Recruiting will take care of itself if you network properly, work hard, and keep a good GPA. If it were my decision I'd pick Berkley (even tho I've heard its not that fun)

I wouldn't say UCLA is horrible for finance since some kids get great jobs but if you can get into UCLA, you're better off going to strong semi-targets like Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, UNC, BC, or UT. Or in this case, OP would have much better recruiting opportunities at Cal.

kids going to qatalyst, goldman, etc.. wow UCLA is horrible for finance. As someone said earlier, if your a smart student, with all the relevant ECs it doesnt matter where you go to school. Finance recruitment aside. UCLA and CAL are equally ranked, UW is far below.

UCLA recruiting is a piece of cake if you're in the right pipeline/orgs. It just take a little bit of intiative early on and you'll be fine.

CAL is king of the hill though. No question about that.
