UNC over Emory, IUB, and WUSTL (IB)?

I am a cc student who just got into the following schools: WUSTL, UNC, Emory, and IUB. I've lived in St. louis for many years, so I kinda want to get out of this place and start afresh somewhere else..Yet after getting admitted to WUSTL, I started to have second thoughts because of its prestige(ranked 12th in USNews), and perhaps it will offer me more opportunities after graduation. I wanted to go to UNC because for one, it is moving to another place; secondly, i've heard that they have a beautiful campus! I really would love to hear what your thoughts are in regards of my situation! Should I go to WUSTL over UNC? or go to any one of those four schools? (If I want to work on WS one day; also tuition is not a main factor because they have all given me a very good financial aid package) Thank you!

Im pretty sure if you're coming out of community college, either school will give you a run for your money. They are all in the top 10 of Business Week, which is what really matters. Furthermore, both schools have strong alumni connections and a pipeline to major banks. If I were you, I would go where you could network best. You are pretty much going to get a solid education at both schools, so networking will be the key difference in separating your self.

I'd go to UNC. You'll get more of a real college experience there. It will force you to make new friends and you will become more responsible living far away from home. AND you will also get to leave Misery!! (I'm a KS native) You can't lose either way as both are great schools. Congrats.

I don't hear much about WUSTL IB placement. On the other hand, I hear plenty about UNC and IU placement.

MM IB -> Corporate Development -> Strategic Finance

WUSTL IB placement isn't the greatest (though the student body seems mostly geared toward pre-med). I'd rather do UNC and IU. All 4 are comparable institutions, though.

Go to UNC. Your personal experience there will be miles better and UNC (particularly their undergrad b-school) has a great reputation/alumni network at the banks. But don't undervalue the social life/college experience aspect of the equation... you'll regret it later.

"Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums."
