UNDERGRAD Fordham Gabelli

So I recently enrolled to Fordham's Gabelli School of Business where ill be a finance major. I was wondering how my chances line up for front office jobs on the street. I definitely do not want to be stuck in the back office. The majority of my close friends parents at my high school work in the industry and are PMs MDs HF managers in many different BB and MM banks. Some of their parents have told me that if get a good GPA I will line up just fine ( i plan to give them all calls back come recruiting season).

I know Fordham isn't necessarily a target school (maybe semi target because of location?) so maybe I should consider transferring after 2 years? NYU is on my radar. I got in for undergrad also but I couldn't afford it (still heartbroken), so Im hoping with good grades i can make Stern happen(Im a URM so affirmative action is a + ).

What are your opinions on Fordham Gabelli's rep on the street? should i stay or look to move after 2 year?

ps. I want to go into ER or BB AM. maybe trading. Thanks
