Value of a Liberal Arts Education & Small Schools

From David Solomon (CEO of Goldman Sachs), John Waldron (President / COO of Goldman Sachs), Jamie Dimon (CEO of JP Morgan) to Jes Staley (CEO of Barclays), currently, multiple heads of the world's largest banks have no degrees in finance. All of these individuals (3 current CEOs) went to NESCAC schools--Hamilton, Middlebury, Tufts, and Bowdoin respectively. Does a liberal arts education, as opposed to studying engineering, finance, or accounting, better prepare graduates for leadership roles? Does a liberal arts education develop people more as critical thinkers? The list goes on for the heads of the largest banks, Barbara Desoer (CEO of Citi). The aforementioned names are solely people currently (2021) in charge at the largest banks, the list is far longer when you go back decades. The list also expands (even now in 2021) when you account for elite boutiques, etc.
