Weird GMAT score - UK Finance Masters realistic?
Hi guys,
so I took the GMAT twice now and both times scored largely inconsistent scores. GMAT 1: 720 (Q44, which is 49th %; V45, which is 99th %, IR 8, which is 93rd %) and GMAT 2: 760 (Q49, which is 74th %; V45, which is 99th %; IR 5, which is 52nd %). I am, of course, very happy with the 760 overall and kind of hope that a score that high will stop any admissions officer from looking at sub scores - such as my IR, which randomly dropped from 8 to 5. The question is: will this verbal/quant disparity be a yellow/red flag? Does anybody care about the IR score?
I am aiming at the MSc Finance at LSE and the MSc Financial Economics at Oxford. I would be very happy to hear about the way these schools look at GMAT sub scores - if at all. Generally, I think taking the GMAT a third time would be rather useless at this point. Still, I am kind of uncertain due to my weirdly verbal-based scores.
As for the rest of my profile: Very strong undergrad GPA from a central European semi-target, good internships, mainly in investment banking in Frankfurt, and good extracurriculars.
Thanks a lot!
